Belgian Consular Union celebrates its 30th anniversary

On 8 December 2023, the Belgian Consular Union celebrated its 30th anniversary. This special occasion was marked by a memorable gala evening, where we had the honor of paying tribute to a number of remarkable personalities.

In particular, we would like to express our deep gratitude to Mr Jean-Michel Saive, a Belgian table tennis legend and a distinguished representative of the Belgian Olympic Committee. His exceptional career and dedication to the sport have been a source of inspiration to many Belgians, and we are grateful for his presence at our anniversary event.

We are also honored to have had Mrs Stephanie D’Hose, President of the Senate, under the patronage of our gala evening. Her support and commitment to our mission were invaluable, and we thank her warmly for her participation in this significant event.

On this special occasion, we would also like to congratulate the 200 Honorary Consuls accredited in Belgium and the 300 or so Belgian Consuls accredited abroad. Their commitment and work help to strengthen the links between Belgium and the rest of the world, and we are grateful for their contribution to our association.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the Ministry Foreign Affairs for its ongoing support of the Belgian Consular Union. Their invaluable collaboration enables us to continue our mission.

As we celebrate 30 years of achievement, we are filled with optimism and enthusiasm for the decades ahead. Together, we will continue to work to strengthen diplomatic, commercial and cultural ties between Belgium and the rest of the world.
