Op 24 april 2024 organiseerde de BCU een conferentie met als thema "Klaar zijn voor wat komen gaat: het standpunt van het Belgisch leger". Het evenement vond plaats in de prestigieuze Universitaire Stichting. De spreker was Viceadmiraal Jan De Reume, Adjudant van Zijne Majesteit de Koning.
Vice-Admiral De Reume shared his perspective on the challenges and necessary preparations for the Belgian Army. He touched on various strategic and operational aspects, emphasizing the importance of anticipation, flexibility and international cooperation in ensuring the security and defense of the Kingdom of Belgium.
